The Elgrandier Games
A series of games that will challenge even the hardiest of Adventurers
Intro
The Elgrandier Games are one of those dark, hidden-from-the-light, parts of society.
A contest, where advenutrer parties are lured in by a quest with a middling-to-decent reward, a small fight, and then a test of character (as to whether they are daft enough to steal from a high level wizard).
Once the thieving happens, their fates are set, and the games begin.
This contest is broadcast via the Astral Relay out to other wizards, adventurers and cretins part of the that side of society, where there is a large betting and gambling market around the success of people in the games.
The Games
The Games are a number of puzzles, traps and fights. All Illusionary, yet real enough to risk the deaths of the players if they get to 0hp.
First comes the consequences of their thievery, a number of Astral Rooms with fable-like consequences for the stolen items,
then it turns into a traditional trap-alley, putting the rogues to the test, and following that is a number of fights that will see the players pushed to their limits, going up against other illusionary copies of adventurers who have successfully passed the games before.
Finally, if they are able to make one final choice: Take the Reward, or, Fight Elgrandier himself.
